It has been a long time since I have Blogged.....I have been wanting to do the 365 days of photos and decided to go ahead with it...So, My photo of the day is of Nick wrestling yesterday....Love how hard he works. He placed 5th place at Alcoa Invitational. He had a bracket with 21 kids in it and worked so hard. He is the youngest in his group this year and we are so proud of him. Way to go Nick!!

With school under way now for most kids, It is time to start thinking about school pictures. I, from my own experience have order those school pictures year after year and they have never been super special. Everyone I know has felt the same way.....So, I have decided to do a Back To School Fall Mini Session...These sessions will take place on September 18th.....I will be posting a time sheet for times. These sessions will be 15 minutes long and will take place outside. If you have never done outdoor photos....YOU WILL LOVE THEM! The lighting is amazing and the backgrounds are beautiful. Nick's 1st day of Kindergarten!

Today my youngest started Kindergarten and all I could think about was the day I brought him home from the hospital and thinking this day was so far off. These past 5 years seem to have flown by and this day has snuck up on me so fast! I can't believe that this is our next faze in our lives and all I want to do is hold him wrapped up in a blanket again and hold on to him so tight. He is a big boy now and was very excited to start school. He never shed a tear and although, I am grateful he didn't..... I shed enough tears for the both of us and they were tears of joy and sadness. Joy-for the happiness and fun and relationships he will build. Sadness- for me, he isn't so little anymore and as I held his hand walking into to school today...I realized I didn't have my Mom to call and reassure me that this was one of those milestones that your child reaches and whether I am ready or not....He is! I know she is watching over him today and giving him the confidence and security she gave me that 1st day of school.
Nicky, I want you to know that you have become such a sweet and caring little boy and we love you so much! I am so proud of the little boy you have become! Happy Kindergarten Day!

This is one of my favorite families!!! I must confess it is one of my very good friends! We suffered through a VERY HOT evening...but had a lot of fun doing it! But, you couldn't tell by looking at them that we were ALL hot and ready to call it quits! Matthew and Jenna did great and were quite the troopers. Today would have been my Mom's 62nd birthday. Usually on her birthday, I would take her some kind of flower arrangement in a beautiful pot that took me hours to put it together because I wanted it just perfect. Of course, she loved anything I got her.....But, for some reason I would always stress over the perfect gift for her. And every year....It ended up the same gift as the previous year. Just different flowers and a different pot to put them in. I miss her so much and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of her and wish I could hug her and tell her how much I love her. She was an amazing Woman, Friend....But most of all the most amazing Mother! I often find myself thinking of "How would my Mom handle this" when I am making decisions with my own children. There are never enough great things to say about her...I love her....miss her and wish she was here everyday.

The kids and I ventured out today to do a little photo shoot......AND it was their idea!!! So, I took advantage of the beautiful weather and their willingness and as you can see by the photos, Emma was much more into it than Nick. Incase you were wondering why there was more images of her. They are growing up so fast and Nick will start Kindergarten this August and Emma will start 2nd grade. WOW.....Where has the time gone?!?!?!? I have made a promise to myself that I am going to try to do some photos each month of them..... I know it seems like a lot...But I am hoping to make a blog book for them. So, hopefully you will not get tired of looking at pictures of them. I know, I don't......

This is Miss Ellie. Her mommy was Emma's teacher this past year. We came to love Sarah (Mrs. Quinn) very much! Not only was she the best 1st grade teacher.....But became a friend of mine! She is one of the sweetest people I have met! Love her! We spent a little time last week doing some photos at her parents 12 acres in Townsend and on the river and I thought I would post some for her! We are so thankful that we had her last year and will miss her. We keep begging her to go to 2nd grade! It is always nice to have a teacher your kids love.....But, when you love them too....IT'S A BONUS! Although, we will still see you, we will miss you next year in school!!! Thank you for making 1st grade for Emma memorable and fun and thank you for the new friendship we have made!

I took my BFF and the kids for a YUMMY and Grungy photo shoot the other night.....I am a sucker for the grunge!!! Now the kids on the other hand.........NOT SO MUCH! Due to the hard economic times we have had.....I wanted to take the time and revamp my Mini Sessions. I know how hard it can be to "splurge" on photos at a time like we have had this past year! So, that is why for the sessions on the dates that I had posted the other day you can get a 15 minute session at the Greenbelt and the package being offered with this session will be
1 8x10, 2 5x7, 2 3.5x5 and 8 wallets.............$35

Emma has been wanting a Pink Bean Bag for her room for quite some time now and with some of her Christmas money she got one the other day! She was so excited! She brought it home and immediately put it in her room and turned her bible school CD on. I could hear the CD playing all over the house and didn't hear any movement for some time and went to her room and this is what I found! And yes.....the music still blasting! She had fallen asleep! On her brand new pink bean bag! The sweetest thing ever! Just when I think she is growing up and I might not find the cute little moments of falling asleep (just anywhere) and believe me...there were some pretty other funny ways she fell asleep, like in a plate of Mac & Cheese....I find these little moments and it makes me SMILE! I long for these little surprises and can't wait for the next one!

It is so hard to believe that five years ago today this little guy came into my life!

He came in to my life and blessed me with so much joy and love and every time I look at him, I am amazed that he is mine! God knew what he was doing when he gave me Nick....

He knew I would need him at a time in my life that would be the hardest obstacle I would endure to this day! You see...I lost my mother just a few short months later and when I look at him its as if God gave me this Angel because he knew I would need him! So every year, I think of his birth and can't help but think that she had a hand in giving me Nicky....She knew I needed him too!

I love to shower him with kisses and can't get enough of him!

He is such a special little boy and I love him so much!

Everyone that knows him, knows that he LOVES anything that has a BALL in it!

I wish I could see the world through his eyes...Just one day......

Happy Birthday To My Beautiful Emma.......

I am so thankful for this little girl! I always dreamed of being a Mommy and she made it happen! I held this little girl for the first time in my arms 7 years ago today and my life has never been the same! I look at her everyday and am so thankful that God allowed me to be her Mommy. She is in first grade this year and I believe everyone knows that the month before she started Kindergarten she insisted on everyone calling her by her "real" name. Emma never missed a beat and has been called Emma ever since. I have to admit...I was very sad! It just made me realize how independent my girl is! This picture was taken on her 1st day of pre-school! I miss these days. What gets me through them is what an amazing girl she is growing into!

I love that she loves my camera as much as I do!

She has the most amazing eyes! I find myself staring at her and she says.....What?????

I tell her everyday how gorgeous she is and Mommy loves to look at her pretty face!

At every birthday of my children, I get sad because my Mom doesn't get to know these amazing grandchildren she has! She would be so proud!

I strive to be the Mom she was everyday and I when I start to doubt it...I look at this face and Nick's and I realize I am the Mom she was!

I want to say Happy 7th Birthday Emma Grace Talley! You will always be Gracie to me!!!

I have been neglecting my blog the past few weeks. Last week I had Gallbladder surgery and it took me a little while to recover. But.......I am doing much better now and back normal everyday life now!!!!!!

We had a little celebration last night of carving pumpkins and dressing up and I think the adults were more into it than the kids were! We had a great time and all of us decided to ham it up a little for the camera. We had a great time and have decided to make it an annual party and be much bigger next year! Do you think we have a future photographer on our hands? Seeing last year for her birthday she asked for a "nice digital camera"..... Her words not mine! We thought she is going to be 6. that would be crazy! But, after much consideration I thought well....It would be nice to have a small compact "nice" (yes my words) camera that I could throw in my purse instead of lugging my big one everywhere. So, we got her one (I know crazy...But remember I was going to use it too). She has taken such good care of it and she will not let anyone use it!!!! No! Not even me!!! But, I was looking on it the other day and these are a few pictures I found on it!

Brad McConnell and Allie Rainwater were married Saturday and I was honored when she asked me to be her Matron of Honor! Not only did I get to be by her side but, I was her photographer! Yes, a bit tricky it was! With a little help from my hubby (who was also a groomsman) and Allie's uncle who is a retired photographer...... WE DID IT!!! I had an amazing time and had the best "assistant" my very good friend Amy Priest! Who is also the sister of the bride! We had lot's of great laughs and just a ton of fun!!!! I hope they have an amazing life!!!

I took some shots of my little nephew the other day and had to share them! He is one of the most beautiful babies I have ever laid eyes on. Fall Photo Sessions

I can't believe that it is the middle of September already! Fall is my favorite time of year! I love to build fires with the family and actually be able to enjoy the outdoors. Fall is one of the best backdrops for photos. That's why I have been mentioning that I will be doing mini sessions at our nursery Wallace Farms. We will making a Fall display and I will be out there on a few Saturdays in October. I will list the dates and times and hope to see everyone there. The week of Halloween I will have a few evenings that you can bring the kids in their Halloween costumes and have photos done as well! I hope everyone is having a great September and is gearing up for the Fall! So be sure and come to Wallace Farms and get your Fall decorations and have Fall photos taken and my sister/BFF will be there selling her homemade(YUMMY) candies! So..... It has been quite some time since I have posted a blog! Sad, I know! I have been taking lots of photos and have been editing them and will post some on the blog soon. I hope Everyone had a great weekend! It hasn't been that great for us at our house. We have come down with the tummy bug that has been going around. YUCK!!!! I wanted to let everyone know that if you book a session the month of February you will get a complimentary 8x10 when you make an order. This is my gorgeous niece Katie! We did this shoot back in November. I didn't post pictures then. I didn't want to post any until I finished her book. Well a month later, I am posting some of them. She will probably kill me for putting these up on the website and the bog. But, this was her first baby and I couldn't help myself. Sorry Katie!!!!! You are way to cute to not show these off. Her hubby Christian was quite a sport also.

Now, I can't wait to take pictures of the new man in her life. I have a few from the hospital. But, my favorite was his feet! As you can see from the picture it is absolutely adorable! Congrats Katie and Christian on baby Sabastian! He is one lucky little boy to have such great new parents. I knew when Katie was in the room when I delivered Emma that she was going to be a wonderful Mother!! I love you K-Talley!!!!!!

I love to read blogs. I sometimes will sit for hours and read blogs.

I love to read new blogs and have found one this evening and am almost in tears as I

post this. I hope you will check out this blog. It has made me very aware of my own life and

what I should be thankful for. I sometimes think about how my life would have turned out

had I waited to have children later on in life. Then, I am quickly reminded by my little one's

that life wouldn't quite be the same without them. I know that sometimes my patience can

run very thin with them. Sometimes it seems as if I have screamed and yelled all day at them.

I read blogs or see something on TV and Mommy's and Daddy's are so doting on their kids

as if they are the most perfect child, never doing anything wrong. I look at myself and think, do they ever feel the way I feel? Do they have the days where they think.... Why do I yell so much?I am sure they do. Being a parent is the most demanding title, yet

the best!!!! Tonight, after reading this blog that I will post the address at the end, I am reminded that I am so blessed. I have HEALTHY children! I have HAPPY children and my kids have HEALTHY AND HAPPY PARENTS! Do I need more? NO!!!!! I can hold my kids anytime I want. I can kiss

them and let them know how much they are loved! So, tonight I will hug my kids and not

let go. I am so thankful for them. I am thankful that I am a MOMMY!!!!!

I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!! I can't believe that it is 2009! I am very excited to start this new year. It is like a clean slate! This year I plan on spending more time with friends and family. I think it is really sad that we pack all our family visits into the week of Christmas! So, I am going to change that this year. More family time!!!! I want to start traditions for my children that they can carry on into their families. So, my goal this year is not only to be a great mom, but to start traditions for my kids! I can't believe the year is about to be over! I sit here thinking about the year that we have had here at the Talley home and am very thankful for the year that we have had. I, like many others seem to make resolutions that I never keep. So, I decided that this year I am going to simplify my life and not make crazy resolutions I know will not be met!!! This year, I am going to make resolutions that will make my life easy and fun. For instance, when the kids want to play a game, instead of saying no" the house needs cleaned" I am going to play that game because the house will never stay clean!!!!! No, I am not on strike! I realized that my kids are only little so long and I want to spend as much time with them as I can. My biggest gift in life was my children and I do not want to take that for granted and sometimes I feel I do. So, with that said, I will make a resolution that will not be difficult to break. I am going to hug, hold, kiss, play, laugh, and love my kids like crazy!!!!!!!!! My kids have shaped me into the person I am today! I owe that to them. I am very thankful for getting to be a Mommy!!!!!

I can hardly believe that just 4 years ago today, I held Nick in my arms for the first time. I remember it like it was yesterday! I think when you know you have had your last baby, you know it's the beginning of a brand new chapter...But sometimes seems like the last chapter! That is how I am feeling today! Very happy for my big boy, who is very happy that he is 4 today. But, sad for me, because I know he will not stay that little baby I held in my arms very long. Today is Emma's 6th birthday!!! My girl is growing up. I can't believe that 6 years ago I had my first child. It took us 5 years to get her here and I adore the little girl she is turning out to be. I know it goes by too fast and I have to stop and enjoy every little detail of her life from how great she colors to how she loves to have her back scratched at night when she falls asleep! I will miss those things. I know all to well that one day very soon she won't ask me those sweet little things like "Mommy how do you spell........." which is what we do here every 5 seconds. So with that I want to say Happy Birthday Miss Emma!!!! I love you and I am very proud of you and Thankyou for choosing me to be your MOMMY!!!! Also, thankyou for always being my subject for all those photos I want to try. I hope you love your new camera and enjoy this wonderful Hobby as I do!!!

I wanted to thank Tiffany for all her help this weekend. She was a huge help and I would not have been able to do all those pictures without her. So thank you so much. It was a fun weekend at Creekside Nursery this weekend. I took photos there for kids that wanted their picture made with Santa. As you can see my kids made the scene and Nick only wanted to sit with Daddy and tell Santa from a distance what he wanted for Christmas. It was his first year getting even close to Santa. So, we were patient. I believe daddy tried to go incognito with the shades as you can see. FYI daddy lose the shades next year. But, thanks for keeping the distance from Santa for me......Love Nick!

Black Friday Shopping

Well, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. It is officially the Christmas season. I have a new obsession everyone..... Online Christmas shopping!!! I did a little shopping online on Black Friday. Let's just say I have never been one of those crazy get up at 3 am, have my every move mapped out with a time line...... kind of people. So, online shopping worked pretty well for me. Except, you didn't get some of the deals that you would have gotten had you went into the store. But, like I said, I am not one of those crazy people. So, long story short, I tried to get into the Christmas spirit by actually getting out of my pj's and going to the store. Well, it was raining....... It was sooooo packed......my jeans were soaked.........I was freezing..........I couldn't get my buggy in the isles........They were out of what I was looking for........Did I say that it was raining and I was freezing????????? FYI......Online shopping ROCKS!!!!! You don't have to get out of you pj's......no fighting over isles...... they have things you are looking for.....and who cares if it's raining!!!!!!!! So, I am here to say that most of my shopping will be done ONLINE!

What started out just redoing the floors in our house has become much more than that. First we started putting hardwood down about a month ago. Then I decided to paint a few rooms. Ok, every room! Yes every room. I believe that every room in the house will have been redone. I feel it on my back, legs and neck everyday!

Miss Emma said the other night "Mommy, I am sick of this" what I ask (Emma)"I am sick of living like this" like what I ask (Emma) "Sick of all this paint and this whole house". Well Emma, Mommy is too. Be patient, we are almost there. I promise we will be finished very soon.

Quick reminder,,, Don't forget on December 6th and 7th , I will be at Creekside Nursery that weekend. I know I have said it before, but it will be absolutely a ball for the kids. Santa and a few of his reindeer will be there. So, be sure to get the kids out there that weekend. I will be there doing photos for those who want to purchase and we will also have portrait packages for purchase. You can put your order in and receive them within a week. They will be mailed to you.

Some of you can even have Christmas cards made and have them mailed to you within 3-5 days. So come on out and we hope to see you there......

Ok, we decided , well I decided that I was going to try and get some shots of the kids for possible Christmas cards. Keeper???? Not sure yet. Anyway, I did get some good shots of the kids. Well, three of the kids. Miss Emma who is usually on top of her game decided that with a dog around, she wanted no part in that. You see, she is deathly afraid of dogs, cats, anything with 4 legs. So, while we were at their Poppy's house doing photos they had a Golden Retriever that they were trying to find a home for. The first few hours were not fun trying to get pictures

done. Long story short, this was a week and a half ago and we are now the proud owners of JAKE!!!! (The Golden Retriever) And we are also proud to say that Emma is now over her fear of DOGS! Not sure about anything else. One step at a time People.........

Rain, Rain Go Away.....

OK, I do like the rain if I can curl up on the couch with a great book and a cup of coffee....

But, that wasn't the case today. I hope everyone is having a great day and maybe some of you were able to do what I wanted to today.

It is crazy to think about the upcoming holidays fast approaching us. It seems that this year has quickly come and gone. But, I am almost glad that it has. You see, we had a rough year last year. Last Oct. 14 my husband was setting up a hunting tree stand and extension ladder and was strapping the ladder to the tree and the tree stand broke.... Yes broke,,, he was 16 feet up in the tree. Well, a helicopter ride and 22 broken bones and 5 days in the hospital later and 3 months in a back brace with 2 months of physical therapy I am happy to see this year end. He is doing well and is 100%.... Which we were afraid he would never be 100%.... So, we count our blessings each and everyday because he was millimeters away from doing damage to his spinal cord. So we do count our blessing and realize that one day you may wake up and have the best day you can have while others are not. I hope you realize when your husband, child, wife, father, mother, siblings or best friend walk out the door tell them you love them. Give them a hug or a kiss and remember why you love them.

For those of you who know me, you know how much I love to redecorate my house. Well, I am here to tell you that as much as I love redoing my home, I am officially over the whole process. I know you all have heard it before, but after we finish this time, it will stay that way!!!!

Halloween was a ton of fun. I loved seeing the kids dressed up. Emma was the oh so popular Hannah Montana. Nick was a football player. Yes, I know how surprised you must be. They were adorable. Oh and It wouldn't be Halloween without a little complaining. FYI to those who will be giving out candy next year,,, JUICE BOXES OR LITTLE BOTTLES OF WATER!!!!!!!! In case you needed any ideas.

Growing before my very eyes!

As we get ready for Halloween, which is a huge day in my house, I am quickly reminded how much my children are growing before my very eyes! I have times where I get really emotional about it. You see, my husband and tried to get pregnant for 5 years with no luck. I had 3 miscarriages and was about to give up on motherhood. Although, I knew I was meant to be a mom! We finally figured out what was wrong and is alot more common now than I thought. It is a clotting disorder which with a blood thinner (which is given by injection in the tummy) Yes I said tummy I was able to have healthy children!!!! The injections were hard to do sometimes. But, as a result I have the most amazing kids in the world. So, yes I do get emotional when I think about them growing so fast. I tried so long to get them here and before my eyes they are growing up to be these beautiful little people. So if you are having trouble getting pregnant, please don't give up. It will happen. It may take a little help from a professional, but if you were born to be a mommy like I felt I was, You will become one also!! So I need to take the time to say thankyou to my wonderful , silly kids ,,, Thankyou for choosing me to be your mommy!
